Many swear by the use of nettles for a variety of things. According to Healthline and multiple studies, Urtica dioica (aka “stinging nettle”) contains a variety of nutrients. These include (but may not be limited to):
- Vitamins A, C, K and more
- Calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, potassium and others
- Several essential amino acids, polyphenols (including quercetin), and pigments like beta-carotene.
- Linoleic, palmetic, stearic and oleic acids (among others)
Healthline also explains that:
“Antioxidants are molecules that help defend your cells against damage from free radicals. Damage caused by free radicals is linked to aging, as well as cancer and other harmful diseases (3Trusted Source).
No supplements should be used without consulting your healthcare professional!
Our nettle is home-grown, without the use of chemicals or pesticides, and either freeze dried or dried naturally. We are moving towards all freeze dried herbs, but do have limited stock remaining of traditionally air-dried tincture. All tinctures are 40% ABV and sold by the single ounce.
